Tottenham ponder recalling US World Cup star in January
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino says the club are due to make a decision over the future of DeAndre Yedlin as they look to ease their defensive crisis.
The American international agreed a deal during the summer to sign for the north London club from Seattle Sounders, but was loaned back to the MLS club for the rest of the season.
However, long-term injuries to Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton means Pochettino could now use the chance to bring the talented defender in earlier as he only has Eric Dier who can play at right back.
Walker has been forced to miss the last six months with an abdominal injury, while Naughton suffered ankle ligament damage during the 1-0 win over Southampton in their last Premier League game.
Yedlin is still waiting to see if he has been successful in getting a Latvian passport but if he succeeds he could now speed up his move to White Hart Lane if Pochettino decides to sign him in January.
Pochettino added: "We need to analyse, to know how he is working, but he is another option. One option is to maybe bring him here in January."
